What can make or break your company? Reviews. Reviews are how potential customers determine whether they want to work with you or not. For example, prior to making a big purchase, you’ll do research on said product. You want to know the opinions of those who have bought it and used it, hence you go straight to the reviews. Same goes for working with a business. Never underestimate the power of a review.

Reviews can provide you with a ton of information. You can determine your business’s strengths and weaknesses. Take note of negative reviews, those will tell you what you need to improve. Is the common denominator a person? A service? A faulty link in your website? Determine the issues that need to be resolved and tackle them one by one. For example, we were getting multiple complaints about our email campaigns being spam. We came up with a new approach which lowered the complaints drastically. Use those negative reviews as a learning opportunity. Encourage your customers to leave reviews that way you will have up to date information on how your business is performing.

One thing to keep in mind is the fact that everything your business puts out can potentially be reviewed. Yes, anything. It could be that one thing one of your employees said because they were having a bad day. Customers remember everything and the impression your business left on them. They will not hesitate to let people know. That’s why it’s so important to keep a good reputation with your business. Remind your employees that they are the face of the company on a day-to-day basis. Remind them that they represent your company, it’s mission, and it’s values inside and outside of work. Discipline those who don’t for it will cause your reputation nothing but harm.

Now that you know the power of a review, you can use it to your benefit. It all starts with you and how you see your business as a whole. Make those changes as soon as you can, turn those negative reviews into positive ones, and watch your business grow. Remember to display your reviews on every platform such as your website and Facebook page. This will bring trust and assurance to any potential customers. Check out our Trustpilot reviews here.
